Hey, ya’ll!

I know what you’re thinking. It’s the middle of July and I’m now posting my July goals. Look bear with me haha. I’m a work in progress. Timing is not my strength. When I’m this late to posting time-specific content, I would usually just scrap the idea and move on to the next topic. That stops now. I want to focus more on providing consistent content, whether perfect or not. So get ready to see a whole lot more of APOL!

On that note………….

How’s your summer going??

This summer has been eventful for me. Not the hot girl summer that I originally planned LOL. I’ve been focused on becoming more productive for the past couple of months. We’re in the second half of the year now. It’s time I buckle down and get down to business. I know how I want to end the year off and it requires a new level of consistency and discipline moving forward. Keep reading to learn about a few of my July 2022 goals that I plan on holding myself accountable for.

Publish at least 5 blog posts before month-end.

As you guys know from the last post, mama is determined to get content out. If everything goes a planned with goal #3, then I may be too busy in the next month or so to consistently create content. Don’t worry! I’m making sure I prep enough content now so that the blog will remain on track despite what’s going on in my personal life.

Create daily healthy habits and keep track of my progress

Eating healthy or even doing light exercises isn’t “hard” for me so to speak. My problem is being consistent and organized. To keep me accountable, I created a daily checklist of everything I need to be doing daily to keep track of my progress. This includes workouts, drinking more water, taking my vitamins, etc. I’ll know I accomplished this goal if I continue to use the checklist until the end of July and consistently check everything off.

Start a new job in a field where I can grow.

This one here! Let me tell you. I’m so ready to change careers and be in a field that I’ll grow in. If you’ve been around for some time, you know I was a military wife which caused my career to be on the back burner. We moved so much that I couldn’t be strategic with my career or even prioritize it. That all changes now! I’m ready to see some stability not only in my personal life but in my professional life as well. So, fingers crossed that I end this month with a new job and a promising career.

Spend more time with Dominic before school starts back.

Dominic and I have felt the transition in the past couple of years from me being a stay-at-home mom to a working mom. I want to be more intentional with the time we spend together. Summer is ending for him and school is starting next month here in Georgia. I want to plan a few activities for us to do together. I also want to start spending more time prepping him since he’ll be going to the 1st grade.

Start back couponing and saving money on groceries.

Would you believe that I used to be like the coupon queen? During my pregnancy, I was so focused on making sure that Dominic had everything he needed. I got into savings and couponing as a way to prep for his birth and kind of ran with it from there. Once we moved from Texas, I kind of got a little lazy with couponing. There were so many changes going on in our personal life that it was no longer a priority. That changes now. I want to start planning my grocery shopping again and couponing to make sure I can start saving. Plus, have you seen the prices of groceries these days? Chile, everyone needs to be couponing with those prices.
