2021 New Year's resolutions, resolutions ideas, new years advice, starting year off right, motivation tips self, manifestation law of attraction, simply living well, life goals future, goal setting vision board, goal setting for new year, fresh starts and new beginnings, new year new me, a pop of life

Start A Manifestation Journal

Purchase a cute notebook and start writing daily about the life you want. Amazon and Barnes and Nobles have some cute journals you can check out. I don’t know if you believe in manifestation, but I surely do. Changing your mindset to positive thinking and acknowledging the possibility of your dreams coming true shouldn’t be underestimated. Your mind starts to think of solutions to make your goals work instead of dwelling on all the reasons why the life you want can’t happen. This could be as simple as writing “I will succeed at work” in your manifestation journal. Accomplishing goals definitely will create a happier life for you.

Eat Healthier

I absolutely hate the word “diet”. That word just automatically makes me think about all of the things I can’t have. Instead, just choose ways to eat healthier. Add a salad to every meal. Drink a glass of water before you begin a meal to avoid overeating. Honestly, there are so many ways you can eat healthier. I learned personally that the keto “diet” is best for me. It allowed me to eat all of my favorites but let me focus on my goal of weight loss. The loss of carbs in my daily foods definitely was a healthier choice for me. Start small. You’d be surprised how much your body and health will thank you. Good health does wonders for mental health and increasing happiness.

Move Extra Everyday

Last year, I started this thing where I don’t look for a park right next to the store entrance. I’d actually sometimes park near the other end of the parking row. This way, I get my steps in and make sure I’m up and moving. As a stay-at-home mom, it’s kind of hard to really move around on a regular especially since I hate working out. Choose a way to add extra movement into your daily life. Do some floor exercises before bed. Play with the kids in the backyard. Walk to the store instead of driving a couple of blocks. Just get up and move. This is a surefire way to improve your lifestyle and feel great about yourself.

Be Kinder To Yourself

Made a mistake and now you feel like the worst person ever? Forgot to do something and you can’t understand how you could be so stupid to forget it? We are so kind and helpful with others but forget that we should be just as kind to ourselves. I am infamous for doing this. Whatever doesn’t go as planned this year, don’t forget to be kind to yourself. You live and you learn. Just do better next time. But, please don’t dwell or put unnecessary stress on yourself. Being so hard on yourself doesn’t help anyone let alone yourself.

Check Something Off Your Bucket List

Bucket lists are always known to be these crazy adventures that people picture so far into the future. Stop waiting for life to happen and do the things you want. This year, I want to go horseback riding. It seems like so much fun and yet peaceful. I’m really not sure why I never tried it yet. So, I’ll make sure to do that in 2021. I’m counting on your guys to hold me to this. I swear, I have the memory of a gnat and always forget things haha. Making memories goes a long way towards having a happier life.

Try A New Way To Make/Save Money

I am not unrealistic when it comes to this pandemic and just everyday life in general. Of course, we all want to make more money and create wealth for our families. But, everyday expenses like rent, caring for our kids, and putting food on the table comes first. There are still ways to save for the future even in small ways. When my son was born, I wanted to set up a trust fund for him. Safe to say, that hasn’t happened yet.  We did start this coin jug that we’ve had since his birth where all spare change and random cash goes. It’s not a trust fund but it’s something. Purchase some stocks. Send twenty bucks to your savings monthly. Turn your favorite hobby into a side hustle. Just choose what works best for you and your family’s future.
