With October coming to an end, I thought I’d do another Fall 2017 kid lookbook. Earlier this month, I’d created a toddler look featuring the fall trend, jogger plants. Dominic is getting bigger by the day requiring new clothes almost every few weeks. This little one surely won’t be little for long if he keeps growing at this rate. Every day he’s trying new things and showing just how much he’s learning. This past month, we’ve been focused on tackling a few fall toddler activities.
The plus side of his rapid growth is mama can try out new kid styles pretty often. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been taking pictures of Dominic since he was a baby. But, he is one of the best kids I know with the camera. He’s pretty lowkey and lets me take as many pictures of him as I want. Never throws tantrums at all. Talk about a mommy blogger’s dream!
My friends with kids Dominic’s age always ask how do I get him to sit for these pictures. As a mom with a little one, you want to take pictures of every milestone and moment for years to come later. The catch 22 is they never like to sit still. One of my secrets is to provide Dominic with toys while I take pictures. He thinks it is just playtime while I get to snap a few motion shots without him fussing.
This V-tech toy truck seems to be a hit with older babies and toddlers. Dominic is obsessed with it and my friend’s son can’t get enough of this toy. As simple as it is, it occupies the little ones attention with no problem.
In case you’re wondering, Mickey Mouse “Hot Diggity” toy is pictured here as well. Dominic has been a huge Mickey Mouse fan since he was an infant.
This toddler denim jacket outfit was inspired by this Children’s place denim jacket I saw on Amazon. With the weather getting colder, Dominic was overdue for a toddler jacket. You know this is our first time living in the south. I know it won’t be anything like our cold season in Buffalo. So, I’m taking it slow. Purchasing light jackets until I get an idea of how fast it gets cold down here.
