Dominic is finally not a baby anymore. Whew! It sure does feel good now that he’s a bit more independent. Don’t get me wrong. I’m totally having baby withdrawal with Dom being such a big boy now. I can still remember when I had Dominic and was trying to figure out how to be a new mom. On a brighter note….. I can start to do more activities with him. He is such a curious toddler and loves to explore new things. This week, I decided to create an Easter basket for toddler boys that I know he’ll love to unwrap.
Ok, I need all the professional craft moms to bear with me. This is the first Easter basket I ever made. But, I certainly feel like it turned out amazing especially for toddler boys. Keep reading as I tell you how I put it together and include a few tips for creating an amazing Easter basket for toddler boys.

PIN IT FOR LATER:
1. Add the Green Grass-Like Material
Honestly, I’m not sure if this is supposed to be grass. But, let’s just go with that. I placed the entire grass packet in the basket. Then, proceeded to fluff it up a bit to ensure it’d show through while wrapped and give some height to the basket.
2. Add The Tallest Items First
The Easter Bunny bubbles was the tallest item I purchased for the basket. I recommend getting more than one tall item. Next time, I know I will probably focus on this step a bit more. Most Easter baskets are known for being large and packed with goodies. Placing tall items first ensures that your basket’s height will have a good foundation.
3. Add Any Large Packages
The marshmallow Peeps was my largest package and thankfully took up most of the basket. As it was my first time, I think I kind of underestimated the number of fillers I’d need even with it being such a small basket. You’ll want a large package so it’s easy for you to add the remaining small items on top.
4. Fill Easter Eggs With Candy
I usually don’t allow Dominic to have candy. He is already usually filled with an enormous amount of energy. The last thing he needs is extra sugar. I personally am in love with Sour Straws. Of course, I added the Sour straws for this mama to snack on. We wouldn’t want the candy to go to waste LOL!
Spread your candy-filled eggs amongst the grass before adding the Easter stuffers.
5. Throw in Toddler Boy-Friendly Stuffers
Keep in mind your toddler boy’s age when choosing toddler boy friendly stuffers. Stay away from those super small characters that your little one could easily swallow. Dominic loves balls, anything he could possibly throw, and drawing.
For his Easter basket for toddler boys, I added the following:
Easter Egg Toss
6. Wrap the Easter Basket In A Wrap Bag
If you’re a beginner like me, a wrap bag is your best choice. I know I probably would have been all over the place trying to use wrap paper and ensure it came out looking somewhat professional. The wrap bags are usually in the same section when you purchase your supplies in store. Or, you could simply purchase it online.
TIP: Tape the sides of your wrap bag to the back of the basket if your basket is too small for your wrap bag. See below.
7. Close & Fluff Your Easter Basket For Toddler Boys
Finally, twist the top of your wrap bag and close it either with tape or a really pretty ribbon for extra flair. I chose to fluff the top out a bit.
As the awesome Bugs Bunny said many many years ago…… That’s all folks!
Until next time…..
