This post is brought to you by the Doubletree by Hilton- Syracuse.

Hey there!

I hope your 4th was as AMAZING as ours! We spent our holiday in Syracuse visiting the Doubletree by Hilton. You know, this was just what we needed! A break from our everyday life which is a bit hectic by the way.

As most of you know, we are a military family. Babe recently got new military orders for Fort Hood, Texas. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that before?

Oops! Surprise!

We will be calling Texas home before the end of the month!

As excited as I am for the move and our road trip before then (make sure you check in frequently this month to see the awesome places we end up!), I’ve been SUPER stressed out. Visiting Syracuse and the Doubletree by Hilton was just what our family needed to wind down before saying good bye to New York.

Check-in & The Welcome Party

Let me just say this. I am SUPER big on hospitality and customer service. It warms my heart when I see sincerity in people within any customer based industry. With that being said, Doubletree by Hilton in Syracuse exceeded ALL of my expectations during this trip. When I checked in, we were handed hot fresh cookies to munch on. Those cookies tasted sooo good, BTW.

Our family walked into our room and saw the most beautiful spread of cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, and cookies waiting for us. This was just what we needed after a long drive. I have to say it all was SCRUMPTIOUS! This was our main focus for the first hour as we devoured it.

I’m sure Babe enjoyed it way more than me though. His happy face says it all! Haha 🙂

We were also provided fresh white hotel robes and of course, a Syracuse hat.

Fun In the Sun

My little one was a bit under the weather. It was only but so much he could do. But, he absolutely enjoyed hanging out poolside with his dad.

This mama, on the other hand, enjoyed cooling down in the pool. Want to know my favorite part about pool time? The cute bikinis, of course! I snabbed this one from Target on sale this past holiday weekend. You’ll definitely want to check there out if you’re in need of a new swim suit this summer.

Date Night In

One of our absolute favorite things to do as a couple is try new restaurants. There’s just something about a great meal and awesome drinks that makes us so happy. Then again, who wouldn’t enjoy that? Doubletree by Hilton houses the Seasons Tavern restaurant on the 1st floor of their hotel.

It felt great dressing up for dinner with babe & my little one. Being a stay at home mom doesn’t provide many occassions to get “dolled up”.

The Decor & Food

I loved the decor of the restaurant. Some of the staff informed me that the restaurant and hotel recently went under some renovations. As you can see in the pictures, the end result is beautiful!

Boy, was their food good! Sheesh. Babe and I were so full we couldn’t even finish our meal. My favorite part was their calamari! It’s one of my favorite foods in the whole wide world. Doubletree makes their calamari FRESH. My taste buds were definitely a fan.

Sippy cup, stroller, and all.

My Stay at Doubletree by Hilton- Syracuse

This whole moving process had our family going bonkers before our quick vacation at the Doubletree by Hilton. Their impeccable service and friendly staff gave us the breath of fresh air we needed before our journey to Texas. I recommend other military families make sure to schedule some family time or a getaway before your relocations. Your family will thank you.

If you’re ever in the Syracuse area and want a quality hotel with amazing staff, be sure to stop by Doubletree by Hilton. It’s worth the experience!

Up next….

I thought it’d be an amazing idea to turn our roadtrip to Texas into the roadtrip we’ve always dreamed of! Why not check off some cities on our travel bucketlist during our relocation? That beats driving miles and miles through Arkansas if you ask me.

Right now, I’m thinking about Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Charlotte, New Orleans, and Houston. Any city recommendations? I’m still on the fence. Comment below!
